Has anyone tried this and if so what were the results Like?
Was it better than a flatbed like the Epson V700?
What setup did you use, camera/lens combination, support etc?
In the end was it worth the extra time required to setup the DSLR, take the multiple frames and then stitch them in something like PS?

Ta.

I have tried it, with a rough setup, by that I mean hand held over my lightbox standard zoom, the result was quite impressive.

I do think that with a high meg camera and a proper set up you would get results that surpass the Epson scanners, sharper more detailed copies, the problem is cost, High end camera, macro lens, copy stand etc, is it worth the effort and cost, I would say proberbly not unless you are to print really big

Thanks Martin. May have to give it a try at some point.
