Hi All,
For tomorrow, yes, a bit late notice, but the Aire Street Darkroom is starting to develop (sorry) and so is holding the first regular Open Day, Friday 30.3.2018.
The darkroom is run by volunteers and tomorrow;
"The hours are... 12 until 3.30 and 6.30 until 9.00 on a Friday. Payment either advance, or payment can be made at time of session, £20 per session per person...These sessions do need to be booked in advance, 07548 212512". FYI a session is to print, you bring paper but chemicals provided.
But to visit for a look-see at the PAIR of De Vere 5x4 enlargers (of FIVE: for lesser formats), one with full colour head, the other with the Ilford variable contrast head. And the full blackout, safe-lit, double-door, vented window dark-room, washing room, drying racks etc, etc, FREE, FREE, FREE!
See, I know how to get attention in Yorkshire!
John is a Gent who has lived photography all his life and I personally commend the whole project. NOW is the "decisive moment" for this project, pioneered by a core group who put in the hard work and now inviting us all to use and support their vision.
