With his permission I "saved" this from a neighbour's garden earlier last year in order to make a photograph... on the condition that he received a print to 'stick on the wall' (his words) above his desk at work... and I gladly complied with his request.
Since that time he has, apparently, further requests for 'copies' by his co-workers have been received. He indicated that they cannot... and he will not ask that they be supplied 'free of charge'. I am still waiting for their 'official' orders... but I am not 'holding my breath'.
Flower was exposed to Kodak Plus-X behind the 240mm. Rodenstock Sironar under large sheet of 'masked' white paper taped to some cardboard and illuminated by a 'snooted' 500W spot- light from behind and below the table... up towards the angled paper 'reflector' to provide a broader and 'softer' illumination (in my darkened basement an hour or so after the sun had set)
Exposure was 8 seconds at f11 with the camera tilted down a little, the rear standard adjusted to the vertical and raised for 'framing' ... a little forward tilt was applied on the front standard to get everything in focus. Development was normal+20% in Pyrocat HD in BTZS tubes.
Lovely details Ken
