Bellows extension calculations

Am I correct in thinking that if the bellows extend no more than the focal length of the lens, there is
no need to increase exposure from the meter reading?

I marked the brass rail of my Wista 45DX with a fine indelible black marker, they call them sharpies in the US. I marked 1/3 stop intervals for extension with my 150mm Sironar N, that was maybe 1987, they are till OK today.
