These old workings of a man made type of weir to provide power for a disused mill, when it rains heavy this waterfall comes alive as water pours over the man made wall that blocks the water flowing from the Ghyll stream. The archway in the second image is constructed for a disused road to the mill.

I do like these, particularly the second. The water flows towards you and your attention flows back, through the arch and towards the scene behind the waterfall.

I agree with David and wonder how amazing a physical print would be?

I fear we lose much by having to reproduce on screen.

Thanks Guys for your comments, not too happy with the tonal range or contrast in the images above, so I have used one of Ian Barbers Film Packs for Adobe Camera Raw, they work very well indeed, I have added another image and put a little artistic blur to it (last picture)
