It has been a long while since I posted a photograph on this LF site, so I thought I would start again with some of my photos from a few years back in the hope that I will get encouraged and start using my beautiful LF gear again, which although much loved and cherished, has been languishing in its carry case for many years now due to high quality ease of use of my full frame NIkon D SLR. Not to mention me getting a lot older and finding lugging around LF gear a bit of a chore. I also have a freezer full of Acros quick load film which could do with using up as well, as at the moment there is little room for food and it is has become a very expensive white elephant.

I also note that there is a lot of talk about LF matters on the forum but a disappointing lack of photos recently. Hopefully, that will change because whilst such info is really helpful it is not a patch on actually seeing photos.

Enough of all that here is a photo to get the ball rolling. I should explain this is a photo of one of my LF prints as I haven't drummed up enough enthusiasm just yet to start rescanning my negatives.

The photo was quite tricky to get because it was late afternoon and into the light, and there was a lot of haze.

Interesting image, nice and atmospheric, reminds me of looking down at The Crowns, Bottalack.

Interesting image Ian of a lost era and rather melancholy I feel. But, I had expected that we all use our own threads to post the, hopefully, avalanche of new images, otherwise the threads may get a bit muddled.

Nice image Helen, I scuba dived all around there in the 80's and 90's, and camped just down the road from it at Valley of the Rocks. I always said it would make a great photograph, but never had a good camera with me on those trips. Still one on my to do list.
