Storm damage at Hareshaw Linn in Northumberland

Yesterday I took a walk to Hareshaw Linn in Northumberland. My only doubt was how to make an image that was different from my previous efforts (and those of everyone else). As it happened, Storm Arwen had totally changed the scene by toppling over an enormous tree which was then wedged in.

Fomapan 100 developed in HC110 Dilution H.

That's really lovely. You can see that local contrast expand due to the high dilution and presumably extended development time.

How long did you develop it? I am much enamoured of high dilution/low agitation development and HC-110H is on my list to try.

Thanks for your kind comments. To calculate the development time, I took as a starting point the Massive Development Chart suggestion for Foma 100 at EI 50 with Dilution B, which is 4m30s. Since dilution H is half the concentration of B, I doubled the time to 9minutes then reduced it by 20%. The final time was 7m 12s.

In Lightroom, contrast was increased slightly.
