So I thought I'd help out a bit.

These are Portra 160 negs, quick and dirty scan (lost my blower) just for reference and a couple of crops.

Shot on an MPP mk Viii and a Nikkor 90mm 5.6 & for the vertical it was a schneider 150mm 5.6

Not Stoodley Pike, but reasonably close. It looks like Ramsbottom, to me.

Yes, that's Peel tower in Ramsbottom, well done Collas.

A couple of close ups here

I'd love to work in colour ... but I don't think I'm ready to sell a body part to fund it :)

Haha I shoot very sparingly, wish you could buy film per sheet like we used to be able to at uni.

I was reminiscing with a young chap at a lab I went to the other day that when I was an assistant many years ago in the mid ninety's we'd order 6000 sheets at a time and pay £1 per sheet to buy it and £1 per sheet to process it. different times.

Welcome David. It sounds as though you’re a man of some experience.

Oops! I’ve posted this in the wrong place. Welcome nevertheless.

Very atmospheric.
The US seems to have a very generous supply of photogenic barns, to judge from their popularity among photographers.

We don’t seem to have many of those over here. Presumably it’s to keep snow off the surface.

Covered bridges too.

Lovely shot, as is the barn shot.

I'm pretty sure I've ridden my motorbike over that bridge. Spent 11 years in NJ and went riding in PA often.

Covered bridges all over the USA. Went to a memorial service for my wife's Uncle which was held on a covered bridge in Indiana that he had helped to rebuild after it caught fire.

Very photogenic, as are the barns. Bit of a lack of castles mind you ;)

Speaking of dukes and earls, my wife and I are planning a 5-day trip to London and 5-days to Paris. I hope the five days in each City should be enough to see them and a little bit of the countryside. Which is a good area in London to stay in? Paris too if you know it?

Driving?

How's early May for weather/?

I know its such a shame if they didn't make it so expensive people might by more of it. Seeing as how film makers do zero r&d there is little excuse for the prices.
