This is my stomping ground as I only live about 1/4 mile from them so I can appreciate exactly where you stood when you made the exposures.

Do you live close to this area or was you just passing through
 
Hi Ian.

I'm a short distance away in Sheffield, so not too far using the M18 / A1. It's the first time I've visited, although I've seen the bridges before when passing over the river on the A1 viaduct. I expect it can be a very nice location in good conditions. It was somewhat drab and overcast on the day I visited.

The one of the bridge showing the gas pipe is one that I always look at when down there with the yashica but the 5x4 to me looks a better composition.

It's one of those locations where I think, short of being able to walk on water, the shot is dictated by vantage point to a large degree.
