LF "Lens" weekend April 2024

I've seen 6.25" quoted as the size for my 158mm Toyo lens boards Which MIGHT prove very handy - but knowing standards there'll be something to make sure they don't fit ether way round.

Even without guaranteed lens board compatibility it's sounding like a fantastic weekend :)

Yes I have a 360mm Apo Ronar on the large 10x8 Toyo lens board and it fits my adapter.

Excellent!
I'll bring my 480mm Apo Ronar too, it supposed to cover over 10x8 (borderline on 10x12). - I do have some good quality barrel lenses :)

I should be able to bring fixer (I think I have some ready made up)
I've not found the sachet with remaining solid material & the stuff I had made up has precipitated so has probably gone off :(
I'll see if I can find everything relevant to make up some to a recipe in the darkroom cookbook.

We seem to have everything for the low odour citric acid variant of Kodak's F-24 (nonhardening acid fixer). But just to be on the safe side I've brought a pack of 'Fomafix Foma Fomapan P U1 Black & White Film or Paper Powder Fixer' which is being sent direct to Ian's address due for arrival by Friday :)

I have photography plans on the Saturday in Liverpool but let me see if I can make the Sunday. I take it we are meeting at your place, Ian?

Is reversal processing still an option? I'm bringing paper, but only a 1/4 plate camera (with a very nice lens, of course!)

It's not the same as being there, but could someone take some snaps of the "glass", please?

Sorry everyone but I am not going to make it. The photography walk in Liverpool was too much for my gammy knee and there's no way I could ride the motorbike today.

Have a wonderful second day and please make a thread of any pics of the event and from the event.

My WA special pre-Anniversary Speed Graphic with Squire & Co, Shepherd Maker, Carte D'Visite lens, a well corrected Petzval.

Thanks again for a fantastic weekend.
I've learnt lots, got re-inspired to shoot LF, & enjoyed meeting such knowledgeable people. Hopefully any jealousy for all the beautiful kit will fade rapidly enough that my bank balance isn't completely wiped out. I'm sure there will be bit's I'll be trying to track down :)

Sorry about the poor quality fisheye grab shot of the 3B, it in no way does the lens justice!
