Commercial/advertising photographic archive

Studio shenanigans. Circa 1990. 5x4 Polaroid.
We worked on a brochure for Hoover products and built a small kitchen set in the studio. The washing machines had removable drums, presumably to cut down on weight.
Would you mind if I post this one elsewhere? It's too good not to share. ;)

Washing machines are delivered everywhere, every day, with no problems about weight.
I wonder if the removable drum was to photograph from the inside. Current TV commercials have plenty of examples of attractive, caring, well-groomed housewives adding multiple cleaning, softening and fragrancing products to their family’s clothes to make their children’s lives entirely perfect.

Thank you for asking. Please would you share a link to the post instead of the picture. It doesn’t belong to me so I’d rather not let it loose on the internet :p

Very true but it’s easier to move a washing machine around a studio if it doesn’t weigh half a ton. I’m just guessing. There might be a different reason.
