A day in the Lakes last weekend for your perusal. First two are Fomapan 100, second two are Fomapan 400. Some more shots in the clour section.

Many years ago I had to be in London for meetings on a Friday and again on Tuesday following. I decided that spending the time between sitting at the airport hotel would be criminal. So I checked out and drove my hire car up to the Lake District and then down the Welsh coast. (I managed to find a B&B in the town where "The Prisoner" was filmed for the Sunday night stay.)

I had my Hassy with me and shot monochrome the entire weekend. To this day, those are some of my favorite travel images. Thanks for the memories! (And well done with your own work as well.)

No problem, images can sometimes be evocative and bring back strong memories.

I really like the third one. Very atmospheric, and lovely light.

Thanks Alan. You should have a look at the Velvia one in the colour forum. Trouble is I can’t decide which one I like the best…

Yes, I have looked at that one, with the dog -or the otter. Or maybe the dog otter?? There's no contest for me. I much prefer the black and white version.

I’m glad as that was the first shot and I had to wait ages for the clouds and light to get just right for me. The Velvia shot was a just-in-case shot. I really don’t remember a dog being in the shot so who knows?

I find that's one of the good things about using a large-format camera. Once you have everything set up, its not too difficult to hang around waiting for the sky and the light to come good....

I'm a B&W worker only these days (with film), I do like the colour versions as well :D
