Agfapan 25 MPP MkVI 150mm Xenar - Model Traction Engine

At 40x50 every detail of this model is well defined. I miss Agfapan 25.... I also mis my scruffy old ex MOD MPP VI. The old Xenar lens which was original to the Camera on an MPP Board has also done well here.

40x50 what :D

I used a 150mm Xenar for a number of years from the mid 1970's until the shutter broke and I was lent/given a 240mm Symmar. In more recent years I've used a 135mm Tessar uncoated pre WWII, but low contrast and poor edge sharpness made me change to a CZJ T coated 150mm f4.5 Tessar and it's an excelent lens. I should add this was the kit I used while living in Turkey, my Wista 45DX and 150mm Sironar N and other lenses stayed in the UK.

Used properly the Tessar's & Xenar's are superb lenses, even with large prints it's impossible to tell the difference to my Symmar S lenses.

My MPP MkVII came with a near mint 150mm f4.5 Xenar, the later 150mm f5.6 Xenar is sharper at wider apertures sits between the Symmar S and f4.5 Xenar in terms of edge and corner sharpness.
