Is anyone familiar with or heard of "The Camera Club" in England and the Gallery 1885, someone I know has been asked to give a lesson and workshop on Carbon Transfer Printing and asked me if I had heard or knew anything of there reputation, your help would be appreciated

Hi Martin

Try this:-

http://thecameraclub.co.uk.

I was going to look at joining a few years back after moving back to the London area but it never came to be.

I'm probably a bit late here, but I have visited the Camera Club. They have very pleasant premises a few minutes walk from Kennington tube station. I have friends who regularly use their studios and they seem very pleased. Their website will tell you more, of course.
