Really like that, Martin. The detail you've retained in the rocks really stands out. I too shoot on Acros and find it to be a fantastic film.

That's very, very nice indeed Martin. I like the way the top half of the waterfall fades into the mist.

Thanks guys, I have this printed and framed and it does look nice on paper

That really seems to be a nice place, Martin!
And well executed, too.
I like both: the scene and the image!

Its a great place in a beautiful area in the Dales, bit of a treck to get there and then a bit hair raising to get the camera in the right position, well it is for senior citizen lol, not as agile as I used to be, when it all turns out fine a great sence of satisfaction, job done.

Thanks

A person I know in Spain who does Carbon Transfer and Platinum printing, he has done a Carbon print of this image at 11x14 and in his words;

"It's such an incredible photo and print that I hate to part with it and would love to keep it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do."

He sent me photos of the ongoing process and I must say the texture create by the Carbon process is unbelievable.

He is not keeping it lol and its on its way back to me, will update and show some images of it, fingers crossed its as good as Calvin says.

The finished 11x14 Carbon Transfer Print has arrived, and its truly remarkable, the sense of depth, the tones and texture are really a work of art. the image below is the finished print, but in all honesty one has to view it to appreciate how good the Carbon Print is.

This is the wet texture after removing the tissue

The dry print texture

And the finished print

The image is printed on Fabriano Artistico 300lb hot pressed paper

It is, very expensive but worth it wish I had the skill or time to do it myself,

I like the image, in particular the choice is shutter speed gives a sense of movement in the fall but also retains texture in the water pool. I am sure the print is a joy to view.

Thanks Rob, its a beautiful print and the guy who does the Carbon Printing for me in Spain is good at it, he can get highlights with no half toning dots, he has developed a method that no one else does.

I have a dislike of seeing water as a milky flow with no texture, so I always try a shutter speed to blur but not wipe away the textural movements.

Martin
