I like it too. The little kink in the stem lifts it.

Thank you.
A 70x70 cm softbox, a little higher than the subject and thus pointing down a little. This light is the main one put on the right, next to the camera. A white reflector is put close against the flower on the left. A small silver reflector lies on the table. It is tilted up a little.

Forgot to mention that... flash it was. I'l doing a series on this topic and I shoot at 1/60 and f11 instead of f16 (to compensate the bellows extension) The flash system is a Jinbei 180 at full power and at 180ws that is not much but enough.

For the metering, are you using incident metering in the shadows for the camera exposure and then using development to control the highlight area should it fall beyond 5 stops

No. I simply used a flash-meter, measured, took one stop off to compensate for the bellows extension and developed the sheet using the standard time. I am not yet there when it comes to changing development time in order to compensate. Working on it though.

Ian, at this moment in time I can't say more meaningful things. I started shooting LF because it slows me down, makes me think about many things, not only composition but also technique. So one of the things I'd love to master is combining zone metering and developing. But for now I'm just enjoying shooting LF :)

I have found it has certainly slowed me down compared to digital, I have in the past wasted a lot of film but I guess thats just par for the course. Now, I am trying to put everything I have learned into practice :D
