"Somewhere" in Oregon.

I came across this waterfall after hearing the 'roar' from some distance away... as I wandered about the 'neighbourhood' on a somewhat dull and cloudy day, seeking possible subjects that be of interest ... and... the required space to set my tripod. Following my 'ears', finally I came across the source of Mother Nature's "music"... and found the required 'spot', and sat for a while to enjoy a late lunch and enjoy what Mother Nature had provided.

Kodak Plus-X behind the 240mm Sironar on Linhof monorail, rear standard vertical and inch or so rise on the front standard and made a 4 second exposure at f22 to acquire 'blur' with a 'reasonable' DOF. Film developed with Pyrocat HD in BTZS tubes.

Somehow... After submitting this image, I tried to 'remember'... failed... and decided that It was indeed time to check my 'notes/records' rather than rely on the ageing brain cells. The written word confirms that there were, indeed, two negatives exposed with each of two lenses... but I seem to have neglected to note whether it was my 150mm or my 75mm that was the 'alternative'.... so... quick file-boxes search and behold... the second negative was there. I shall have to get 'ye olde slide-rule' out of the drawer... make some quick measurements... calculations ... and the 'truth shall out'... so, after 'She Who Must be Obeyed' has finished her 'mail-call' replies, I'll do a scan of the other negative.

A relatively new Epson 850... I am not 'afraid' of this new technology with which I am not yet fully comfortable. Being this 'new' to scanning, I am still somewhat low on the 'learning curve'. I've been spending some time "playing around"... but still not yet 'comfortable' with anything more than the basics.... resizing, brightness, contrast... minor cropping etc. Methinks it might be some time before I feel that I have reached what might be termed 'competent'. Even with my 60+ years under the dark-cloth I have to admit that I still make the occasional 'mistake' either behind the camera... or in the darkroom. But... since that which I am now doing is for "Me"... I have the 'time'... and now I enjoy the opportunity to 'share' some of images I made over the years that I feel were worth the time and effort ....

I have been having some troubles with 'my operation' of my scanner... and it has been all my fault now that it has had the oil changed after my problems with getting the new filter installed properly I spent a hour seeking the negative of this small waterfall that I thought might be worth 'sharing'.
A HOT summer day rambling through an old forest in Oregon a few years ago, I trecked up-stream seeking somewhere to have a cooling 'paddle' taking off my boots, socks and pants to have an enjoyable 'sit' on the upper ledge to cool off for about five minutes, however.... the water was so cold, I could only manage about half the intended rest-break.
Fp4 behind the 240mm Sironar on my Linhof. exposure not 'recorded' but I believe it was 1/2 second, developed as 'N' in BTZS tubes with Pyrocat HD.
