As the title suggests I'm after a backpack to lug my gear about in.
I would like to fit in it, a Toyo 45A camera, Minolta Autometer IVF, two lenses on boards and at least three film holders.
Plus the little bits, cable release, loupe....................

Any suggestions?
Or possibly post a picture of what you use?

I use the Think-Tank Street Walker

That's not a bad price actually.
Thanks.

I have a couple of the Shimoda Design bags. They use inserts so that you can tailor each insert for the specific camera set-up. The bags open from the back, have highly adjustable straps, and a range of different straps. And lots of pockets and zips for storing food, drink, first aid kit, tripod, and phones. There are a range of different sizes and colours available. I use the older Explore 60 for 35mm up to 6 x 17, and an Action 70 for 4 x 5.

I just looked at the Action 70 and it looks great.
It is, however, eye wateringly expensive. Unless of course I'm out of touch re prices.

I have a Tenba backpack that cost me £20 at a camera fair. A newer version would be well over £200. This carries a lot of gear. my Wista 45DX or Super Graphic, quite a few lenses, 65mm, 75mm, 90mm, 210mm 360nn, the 150mm or 135mm fold up inside the camera. Two meters, filters, cable releases, over a dozen DDS film holder, and there's space fo65r more.

However, when I lived in Turkey I used a small sports backpack. It held the Super Graphic a 90mm Angulon. and a 203mm Ektar,, the 135mm was in the camera. Two meters a Spotmeter and backup Leningrad 4. Half a dozen 5x4 DDS, sometimes more. my 6x17 camera, and my Yashicamat 124. plus a spare lens for my DSLR. The DSLR hang around my neck,

Now depending on where and what I'm shooting I pare down what I really need to carry.

Hi Soup. Here's my opinion for what it's worth. I use ThinkTank products daily. Although not a backpack. The quality and durability are unmatched. They also have a lifetime warranty. I broke some zippers, and they sent me brand-new replacement products. I've had many equipment cases over the years, and you get what you pay for.

The Thinktank Streetwalker Pro is for sure the sort of thing I want.
It looks like it will take most of my LF gear.
They are economically priced new but I'll continue my search for a second hand one.

When did these things become so expensive?
I don't recall paying anywhere near these prices last time I bought one.

There are a lot of good photo backpacks on eBay most in the £50-£80 range.

There was a 'show us your back pack' thread here - or something like that. Was helpful when I was looking.
Found it! https://www.5x4.co.uk/threads/show-us-your-camera-bag.165/
I have a 'Crumpler Sinking Barge'. Cheap Ebay purchase that I quite like. Well padded with comfy straps which are essential for me. Plenty of space for 4x5 kit. Even takes my whole-plate field camera plus 3 plate holders (although I would not want to walk far)
'Not looking like a camera bag' is important to me. If anyone steals my camera bag I will be very, very sad and the thief is likely to be more puzzled than pleased when they find out what's inside.
