Victoria Bridge was used in the Robert Powell version of The 39 Steps, the bit where the Police search the train stopped on the and he's hanging underneath. I travelled on the foot plate of the engine in the 1960's it belonged to one of my fathers work colleagues at Carpets International, and was used to launch the companies Showroom coach and Cinema/meeting coach.

Thanks Ian, sometimes the urge of most is to go in close, I often take an opposite stance. Railway nerds just want close up detail :D I have shot Flying Scotsman on the same bridge but the position is awkward perched on rocks in the river, worked with my Leica M3 but not LF. Part of the issue is I only used 100 ASA films and slower at the time and the balance of shutter speed and aperture for a moving subject where I also needed good DOF.

It's something I'll revisit :)
