Hatfield Main Colliery Doncaster

I wanted to make a photograph of the Hatfield Main Colliery Doncaster or should I say, what is left of it as I suspect it's not going to be standing much longer.
The film used was FomaPan 200 and developed in replenished XTOL.

I love shooting places like this, but I'm always mentally aware of how dangerous abandoned industrial infracture can be.

Until last year, when it was razed to make room for "progress", there was an unused cement factory nearby that was one of my haunts. I shot that place in everything from 35mm to 5x4 and never felt I'd fully mined (pardon the term) the full set of possibilities.
