Hello from Poland

[Mazgier]

Hello everyone,

My name is Marcin, and I am an amateur photographer from Poznań, Poland. I discovered the joys of analog photography only two years ago, and I'm still firmly in medium format territory (my RB67 is the most serious piece of gear I own so far). However, I definitely plan to move into 4×5 next year and am currently gathering both funds and knowledge.
I shoot almost exclusively in black and white and, at least for now, prefer a hybrid workflow that combines traditional development (I love mixing my own chemistry) with digital processing through scanning.
I'm most interested in photographing "small things" and am exploring macro photography on film, mainly because hardly anyone seems to do it anymore, at least not on film .
My dream is to reach the point where I can create something even remotely resembling the work of Karl Blossfeldt. It's nice to dream...
I hope to gain a lot of knowledge here.

Welcome. We’ll be delighted to see your work.

Welcome. The RB67 is such a fantastic camera. Always remember you can use close-up filters if you run out of bellows extension or don’t want to make any exposure adjustment.

I'm another owner of a RB67 ... you can always tell us RB owners ... we have upper body physique like Schwarzenegger! You'll fit right in to Large format!
