Ilford Grade 1 Paper

I was recently given some paper including this one.
It had never been opened by the looks of it because the double black back still had 2 seals on it.

Does anyone recognise it and what use could I put it to with in been only Grade 1.

The 2013 data sheet is on the Ilford website. The graded paper was replaced by a Multigrade RC Deluxe. There was a Grade 0 as well, so it's not the softest version, would be OK for printing old contrasty glass plates.

What was the reason for selling it on a roll, was it used in commercial settings

There are, or were, roll-fed easels (or masking frames.)

Yes, the rolls were for commercial use, as are the newer Multigrade rolls
