The fourth test was with a friend of mine, who is quite experienced in LF and we got 0 light leaks.

He said that it is not the camera. And after that I did two more tests, where I got 2-3 negatives with light leak less pronounced.

I am doing 5 test, I shot some sheet of Foma 200 and gave them to a lab to develop. and the another half I am going to develop today.
So, I can easily says that i am really like stoned, because I have no logical answer and it is the first time i have an issue like this.

Have you done a basic test for pinholes in the bellows and/or the changing bags? Get into a dark room, stick a bright light inside the camera / tents and any holes should be apparent.

It’s highly unlikely to be the same gear you have been using for years, if the main variable which has changed is the camera.

The bellow was checked by Linhof and by me.
I am tring to exculued one by one aal possible casues. I got got a bit dizzy already…
1. It is hard for me to believe that is the box of HP5+ (I buy those of 100 sheets).
2. The Chinese tent.
3. Th brand new Harrison tent?
4. The Toyo holders?
5. The LIsco holders? Brand new
6. The Jobo 3010 tanks? (I have 3 of them)
7. my way of developing?
8. The Foma 400 box?
I am witing now for the results of the Lab, whre I left soem holders with sheets. to see...

You can test film holders cheaply by using photo paper, instead of burning through film.

Noted! however, the film holders are already excluded from the list of problems. The film too.

Check the dark slides for cracks.

I will. But, week ago before selling gthe Arca this problem doesn’t existed. It started with the Linhof. I haven’t try it before the CLA, but after. And today I am aware of hte fact the it is not the camera (I was 100% sure that the problem is because of the loose spring of the back). BUt it ocured with the brand new holders too. I have only one slide with small crack. on th elower side, which happend like 2 yeasr ago and the only problem was scratching the sheet. Which diapered now. And again this crack is at the oposite side on the light leaks. All light leak are at the same exact spot on each negative.

Just developed the new test - no leaks.

I assume that it could be I the problem. But if so, how it happend now with the new camera and never before. No loading correctly the holder into the spring back of the camera...

I have this set up and I know Linhof.

At the beginning, I regularly made the mistake of not making sure that the double dark slide (dds) was fully and correctly seated.
As ridiculous as it sounds, the tension of the Linhof spring backs clamp down so tightly and securely that you can think the dds is loaded correctly, but in fact, it's not.

The solution is awareness and diligence.
There must not be any sign of a gap at the closed end and the ridge on the dds must be fully and correctly seated, flush with the camera back.

I've never encountered this problem with Sinar or Toyo or backs with bale arms.

Another issue I've learnt the hard way, is that the locks on dds have a tendency to move! I prefer to use elastic bands to avoid accidental exposure, when swapping and changing dark slide holders.

I think it's not only possible but also quite natural, especially with a new and expensive camera, to be a little bit too careful and too cautious.
And also, I'm sure your experience with loading the Arca was quite different?

By the way, have you tried to see how easy it is to load the dds incorrectly? You should give it a try...

You may find putting a finger or two under and between the spring back helps to prise the opening a little and ease the operation.

I'm fairly confident, that by double checking that the double dark slide holder is fully and correctly seated in the camera back, your 'inconsistent' light leak will be gone.

I love my Linhofs but just like everything they take some getting used to!

MartyNL. what is DDS double dark slide (dds)?
The spring of the left clam is very tight. The right one is loose. My first thoughts were that this is the reason and I was blaming the work of the technician. Then after so many test and with a friend whom I am trusting a lot, because of his background with LF.
…I still have 5% doubts left that the reason is the loosen spring. But I could be totally wrong!
I am uploading some videos in order to show what I am talking about.

I am doing something wrong and the video goes a black rectangle

Not more careful than the old camera that I had. The LTK45S is not brand new. Bought it from Canada second hand. Used to work with Master Technika Classic and 2000. But the lack the rear movements which I need very much.

I don't think the spring is the issue.

Have you tried to see if it's possible for the film holder not always to be 100% seated correctly?

If you were unaware, how easy is it for the film holder to be loaded badly/incorrectly and for you not to notice?

I can say that not always a look. Often I am forgetting to do so. I wil from now on, just with the other cameras never had this issue.
