The Oxfam shop in York has turned up trumps again. Some time ago I got a great book from there -Hebridean photographs by Paul Strand. £2.99 We discussed it on this forum. Last week I got another £2.99 gem, called Silver & Stone. Black and white photographs by the Canadian photographer Lyle McIntyre, taken in the early 1990s using 5x4 cameras (full technical details supplied at the back of the book)
I had never heard of Lyle McIntyre, but some of the photographs in the book are really good.
Anyone got an opinion on this photographer?

I’ve had that book for a number of years and as you say he does give all the technical details. It is an excellent book full of fine images of rivers and rocks. Well worth £2.99.

Hi Bill. Full of fine images, as you say. I think some of the ones of the French River are outstanding, with wonderful abstract qualities.
I notice that the book is available on Amazon for slightly less than I paid for it, though you have to pay the postage....
