Old car... older camera

Really like the look of this. I have some FomaPan 200, I may need to put it to more test

Thanks Ian. First time I've used FomaPan, plus with a new camera and developing process, so I didn't really know what to expect as a result. Pleased so far though.

I really think that the older lens produce a more pleasing rendering than the ultra sharp coated optics of today, this image has a look that I get from my 1938 Bessa RF with an uncoated Heliar lens, very pleasing image to look at.

This is a really great shot. Hand held large format photography seems to be quite rare these days but this shot shows that it is worthwhile. I plan to do some handheld shots with my linhof technika having recently had lenses rangefinder calibrated.

A good result from an all round new set up Dave.
Thanks Keith.

Thanks Martin, I tend to agree!

Thanks Rob. Plan is to do some handheld shots at some events this year, if I can get the hang of it!

love the 5x7 graflex. mine has a 8 inch dallmeyer pentac f2.9 on there which gives a lovely dreamy image wide open. hand held is quite doable on these big old beasts. it is surprising how low a shutter speed you can hand hold.

That lens was the first thing that went though my head when I found the camera! Not sure how usable the focal length would be with this one though.
