Portrait with higher contrast

My attempt of a high contrast development (11 verses 9 minutes using D76 stock) for Delta 100 of my girlfriend worked but really didn't do her any favours
.
I plan to try this shot again in a few days time but next time just go with the reccomended 9 minutes

Not sure why you’d want higher contrast in a portrait. Most times, portrait photographers seem to go for lower contrast and subtly modulated tonality. But well worth repeating the shot. You’ve learned things already.
