Went out this morning to test some of my newly coated glass plates, and now I'm keen to see whether I caught anything worthwhile in that gorgeous winter sunrise.
I use pyrocat_HD for film. In the past I have used standard Ilford Multigrade paper developer for DIY plates. they took about the same time as paper, developed by inspection.
Will Pyrocat work for plates made with Foma liquid emulsion? Has anyone tried this? Any advice for me on appropriate dilutions? I have the temperture chart here on the site so I can keep things cool.
What are the recommended dilutions using Pyrocat-HD for paper as a starting point?

As it's a paper emulsion, you need a higher contrast developer like Ilford PQ Universal or Multigrade. You could use Pyrocat HD, but you would need to increase the concentration to something like 1+1 to 25 as a starting point.

Thanks Ian. Perhaps an experiment for another day.
I'll get on my bike and go and pick up my bottle of multigrade
