Kevin I really like the first one here. I looked up your camera on your website, and it looks very much like my Kodak Specialist. In other words "very heavy"....So congratulations on being able to lift it.

This trip involved only about a mile of walking on flat terrain so it was manageable. More than that would be difficult. Of course the camera needs a very sturdy tripod too.

A mile? Wow. I'm impressed. Maybe I should get into training and take mine out . Not sure if my tripod is sturdy enough. What tripod do you use?

I’m not sure about that. You examine the scene. You decide where you want the Zones to fall in the print and you expose and develop to get what you wanted. If you wanted a soft, low contrast print like this one, that’s how to get it.
More modern darkroom techniques like split-grade printing have probably made the journey from visualisation to wall a good deal more flexible.
As for digital printing…
