It's considerably more full these days having added shelving and such, but this is my little slice of heaven:

That's a nice setup you have there. I am guessing that's in a basement

'Tis indeed and I hammered every nail, ran every bit of electrical conduit, and plumbed the whole thing myself. The only thing I hired out was the ceramic tile work. I did this over 25 years ago and it's be an amazing sanctuary every since.

One other minor point of order. Unlike the photos above, I no longer use plastic water jugs as chemistry containers. The plastic is air permeable and not all that strong. After a few unfortunate leaks, I've switched everything over to brown glass 2l bottles. This works out well because that's how the local brewers sell fresh beer ;)

Oh my word! That looks nice.
If I may resume an old discussion on transatlantic language…
In English English, a jug is an open-topped vessel, with a pouring lip and a handle. Was there perhaps some kind of intermediate ancestral container on the Mayflower?

The US English also embraces the UK definition but goes further to include "jugs" that may be closed with a cap. I probably should have used the word "bottle".

But it's not my fault you see. I learned to speak and read English on one country, I learned to write it in another, and I expanded my vocabulary in yet another. I am victim, don't you see? A victim of Distributed Linguistics ... surely someone has a cause that supports my plight ...
