Had a recent eBay listing for LF film holder, the buyer was from the US according to his profile. Reality was quite different, he was in South Korea and needed the pair sent there, and could I list the value at less. An issue if they never arrived, but the buyer had 100% feedback as a buyer and seller.

So a dilemma, I worded the Customs form carefully as 2x 18x24 Film Holders @£100 each, leaving off the total, these were brand new & boxed.

Royal Mail tracking had predicted delivery 20/21 July two weeks after posting, Today I had Positive feedback, not sure if I want to go down that route again.

Because the buyer had hidden by using a US address, and then after paying sprung the South Korean reality, using eBay for shipping wasn't possible.

Here internally in the UK I'm posting at least 2 or 3 items a week using eBay's automated generate a Royal Mail, or alternative postage. I use 2nd Class untracked, but actually for eBay it is tracked. My typical package is £3.20 if I take it to the PO, untracked, use the eBay generated PO label it’s £2.85 and tracked, a no brainer.

I've seen the Post Office delivering Amazon items on a Sunday. They don't trust their own delivery system for high value items, like the [aptop I'm posting this from. It came Parcel Force, and I was sent a security number that I had to give the driver.

Now it's common that the delivery driver takes a Mobile Phone picture of the item and person collecting. I use MyHermes/Evri a lot and the local driver said with COVId and no signature's fraud with people claiming they hadn't received their items had soared, even though they knew they'd delivered. So the drivers started the mobile phone images to protect themselves against accusations.

Amazon are still the worst, if no-one is in they just dump items on doorsteps, and they now deliver for other companies as well.
