Some portraits

You have some very intense gazes there. Tricky with LF, I imagine.
 
They are all Beautiful. The ability to capture portraits is a great gift, not something I find easy at all.

That is so kind. To be honest I currently use the exact same setup for my portraits: f16, 1/125, Ilford HP5+ film, and only use my Godox AD600 to adjust exposure. That way I can just focus on the subject.
 
They are excellent images, maybe there's a but . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . though.

Look at Irving Penn's portraits made in a tent, and consistency. I think you need to balance the output print or scan, the background should be the same, don't re-interpret.

Start with the tonality in the second image, that's missing from the first because you have exaggerated the contrast, same but to a lesser extent with the third and fourth, reign back, the basic images are excellent but just don't work together, (At the moment).

I'm very impressed by your portraits! Love the attitudes of sitters and the light.
