The new Chinese 5x4 camera (and 10x8)

The New Munewca Teak Wood Field Folding 4”X5” Large Format Film Camera. At £399 it's a very direct competitor for the Intrepid, with higher grade materials/parts and no 3D printing.

I had a special offer to buy one a few weeks ago, at an introductory price, but my PC had died, having just bought a Contax IIIa, and I made a decision to have major upgrade. I have no idea how good these cameras are, but I've been buying from the seller for a few years. I'll see I get two state pension payments in a month fairly soon Unlike monthly bills state pensions are paid every 4 weeks so 13 time in a year - sometimes a bonus.

Very interesting. Looks nice from the pictures. There's a 10x8 model too. I wonder if they will offer a 5x7. Hopefully some video reviews will be out on YouTube for a closer look. They seem to be selling quite well.

I have heard from someone who had the 10x8 that they are pretty good. Materials and finish apparently not up to Chamonix levels, but it's supposed to be leagues above the Intrepid. For the money it should be a winner.
