I just picked up a few bits and bobs at auction and in one of my lots there is something called gaslight paper. Apparently you did not need a darkroom to use it, you just put the negative on the paper and held it near the gaslight till you got the image you wanted.
Anyone ever experimented with it? Know much about it, like when it may have been in use? Gaslight suggests early 20th century or 2006 in Hartlepool
I am finding the historical cornucopia of papers and techniques and chemistry absolutely fascinating.
