Nice shot Riley. They give an illusion of little pinwheel toys. What was the shutter speed if you recall?
 
Thank you. According to my field notes, I made exposures at both 1.0 and 0.5 second. I can tell this image was made at the shorter exposure because the circle created by the rotating blades at 1.0 second is a complete one whereas the blades in this image do not quite make a full turn - thus indicating a faster exposure. I am reasonably sure the effect obtained was a function of both the shutter speed and the speed at which the blades were turning. I am absolutely sure that getting it exactly this way was a matter of pure luck because I had no idea 0.5 second would produce this effect given the speed of the blades that morning. This was essentially an experiment that turned out well.
