This photograph of part of a working steam engine was made at a local steam museum on a Chamonix 5x4 field camera.
The photograph was made mainly to test the reciprocity factor of the Fomapan 100 film I chose to use. I used an incident light meter to measure the initial exposure and at 100 ISO it gave me 15 seconds @ f/22.
With reciprocity, this increased the exposure to 2 minutes and 15 seconds and that's the exposure I used.
Uncertain of the highlights, I decided to use semi-stand development in Kodak HC110 diluted to 1:160 for 60 minutes. Gentle agitation for the first minute, them left the development tank alone for a further 30 minutes where I agitated a further 3 times slowly.
This is the straight scan from the Epson V800 using the VueScan software.
